I'm very fortunate to be doing what I'm doing. Mixing all the things I'm truly passionate about into one package and calling it a career is nothing short of amazing.

The challenge of running a small business of my own has always been a lifelong goal. A great college education, a 23 year executive career, and the support of my family and friends certainly equipped me when I started my company in 2005.

So why sports photography? Sports have always been an active part of my life both as an athlete and spectator. But it's more than the thrill of the game that draws me to this industry. It's having the opportunity to be around some of the world's greatest people: athletes, coaches, athletic directors, media relations personnel, and fans. It just doesn't get any better than that.

I've been photographing sports for more years than I care to count. However, that doesn't make me an expert, nor does the mountain of equipment in my arsenal. It does mean that I've spent a lot of time viewing sports through cameras and lenses, so my eye has been trained to find the important moments in athletic competition. Combine this with my knowledge of the sports, the teams, and the athletes I photograph, and that might get me closer to being an expert in sports photography.
